I designed a book jacket for one of my favorite books, "The Collector" by John Fowles. This book is a thriller relayed through the perspectives of Frederick Clegg and Miranda Grey. Clegg grows an infatuation with Miranda Grey, by constantly studying her and eventually holding her captive against her will for most of the plot. The illustrated front cover of the book was inspired by how Clegg viewed Grey. As an entomologist that specialized in capturing butterflies, he repeatedly saw Miranda as one of his prized possessions, full of beauty and such rarity.
